Sustainable management of water, oceans, seas and marine resources

Water – our rivers, streams and waterfalls and their linkage to our oceans are important and indispensable resources for sustainable development. This Master Class will bridge Goal 6 and Goal 14 of the UN’s sustainable development goals, focusing on our challenges around water and how we can sustainably manage our resources.
Goal 6.3 Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all with a focus on ensuring that by 2030,  water quality is improved by reducing pollution, eliminating dumping and minimising release of hazardous chemicals and materials, halving the proportion of untreated wastewater and substantially increasing recycling and safe reuse globally

Goal 14. Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development and in particular Goal 14.3 to ensure that by 2025, we prevent and significantly reduce marine pollution of all kinds, in particular from land-based activities, including marine debris and nutrient pollution
